If you need an inexpensive and beautiful display to books, photos, decor or more on your walls, you can make $10 ledge shelves, which is easy to build, can be built in any length, and are easy to hang.
All you'll need is some off the shelf pine boards, the screws/nails/pocket holes and paint is you own choice. You can even build these shelves without cutting a single board.
For 1 piece 8 foot long gallery ledge:
2 - 1x4 - 8 feet long
1 - 1x2 - 8 feet long
2 inch screws
Wood Glue

120 grit sandpaper

Wood conditioner
